This month blog circle theme is Weather! I partly voted this theme because we were currently in the coldest weather ever in upstate New York.
I seriously mean the coldest! The boys were born here in Okinawa and we have cold this warm (snow-less) tropical island home for the last 6.5 years. I am not complaining, trust me!
Going home for the holidays meant we were going to see some snow, the kids were so excited! Aaliyah doesn’t remember it much and the boys have never seen it let alone play in it! When we bought the winter coats, snow gloves and mittens you would have thought it was Christmas morning because they were so excited and then super disappointed that they couldn’t wear them before we left. They didn’t understand 70+ degrees was no where near cold enough! Once we finally landed in NY though, they quickly found out the temperature needed to wear those coats!
To my surprise it did not snow the entire time or hardly at all until New Years eve/day. I didnt mind one bit but once it did they were itching to go out and play! This particular day was 8*. Ill let that sink in… it was freaking 8 degrees outside! It was freaking cold! They played for a good 15 minutes before they decided they were frozen and wanted to go inside. No argue there, in we went!
I hope you enjoy this little bit of freezing but slightly pretty weather play! Head on over to Northern California Baby and Child Photographer, Kristy G. Photography and check out her take on this months theme kicking off 2016!
