Day 22 |
One of my awesome friends had a great idea for a 4th of July shoot, we both should have known better when it involved eight children that it wouldn’t go as planned. For the most part, they were all pretty great, I think they all need a second and third pair of ears but everyone lived! It was so windy the backdrop about flew away a few times and the kids were only interested in eating the suckers, cookies, and having the punch. I think we forgot the memo that edible things cannot be used as props, however as any good parent does we used them as bribes! 😉 HA! We win!
When we left the house earlier I told each kid to get the new flag T-shirt, I always ordered online but since we now have an Old Navy I had the pleasure of shopping for them in person! SQUEE! Anyway I realized half way through the shoot that my daughter grabbed her 2014 shirt! Old Navy didnt put the years on their shirts this year or at least didnt for the ones that are being sold in Japan. I dont even remember if the shirt we bought here this year is pink as well and she just confused them or if she just grabbed the first one she saw. Who knows. We still had fun and I have long given up on having perfect images of the kids, it really is an extremely stupid and unrealistic expectation! I instead hope for just one of them all looking at me at the same time, a smile is a bonus. I rewarded myself with all you can eat Korean BBQ after this event! Since Kadena did all their festivities the other day including fireworks, we will head to a friends house tonight for a small BBQ and sparklers and work on my homework together! Be jealous! 😉 lol everyone loves working on homework every single day right?! No? Darn.
