2020 PROJECT 52: 2/52

Y’all! I. Am. So. Excited. For. This Post!

I saw a Facebook post quite a few months ago, I cannot even remember the photographer’s name.
Or if I saw it on a personal page, business page or in a group. 🤦🏻‍♀️
But, this post was a self-portrait next to a box that was labeled
‘Handle with Care’ or something along those lines.

I LOVED it!

I related to it. I was drawn to it. It spoke to me.
So I continued to think about this image all the time and knew I had to create something similar.

And I did. 😊

My heart is fragile. The roller coaster of life changes I have had in the last few years have been hard.
Gut-wrenching.
It has taken a toll on my heart and I will tell you the idea of putting it back out there let alone myself is SCARY.

So scary.

Being able to acknowledge this has been healing by itself and then creating images based around it helped me come to terms with the fact that eventually, I might be ok with putting my heart back out there.

This shoot went so well I didn’t even need to pull some silly faces to stay on track.
But then again, I had been planning it in my head for a few months; but more in-depth the last two weeks.

I enlisted my stepdad to be my button-pusher this week.
Last week I was able to use my DSLR’s app on my phone to take the photos by setting the timer, focusing, and pressing the shutter then throwing my phone!
Probably NOT the best idea I’ve had but it did the job.

But this self-session… they turned out so GOOOOOOOOD!

Since I was creating composites or rather adding an element into the images, that process wasn’t ideal because I had to keep my hands still.
Thus creating an unpaid job opening.
He did good y’all. YAY!

So without further ado, here it is…

2/52

So… watcha think?!
Let me know in the comments below!!

And again, because of who I am here are some more to enjoy!
